Scotland’s National Parks legislation - time for amendment

On 29th January 2026 the Scottish Parliament passed the Natural Environment (Scotland) Bill, which includes a number of largely beneficial provisions updating the legislation under which Scottish National Parks are established and operate. The news comes as a welcome signal that, despite recent setbacks, National Parks remain a live issue in Scottish politics. More to come on this soon!
